We made a short conversation with Sabahattin Özen, Sales Manager of Inductotherm Group Turkey – Heating, Metallurgy Engineer at 5th Heat Treatment Symposium.

MISAD: Can you introduce your company?

Sabahattin Özen, Sales Manager of Inductotherm Group Turkey – Heating, Metallurgy Engineer:

Our company operates in the field of production, repair and service of induction systems.

Inductotherm İndüksiyon Sistemleri Sanayi A.Ş is the subcomany of Inductotherm Group which is the manufacturer of the biggest induction systems of the world and located at the United States and has been operating in Turkey since 1990.

Our production process which started with melting furnaces now continues with Induction Heating Systems produced for hammering sector and Induction Hardening Systems for heat treatment sector.

MISAD: Can we learn your thoughts about Heat Treatment Symposium?

Sabahattin Özen, Sales Manager of Inductotherm Group Turkey – Heating, Metallurgy Engineer: Symposium goes great. It is much better in this year.

This symposium held for the 5th time this year features as an atmosphere where representatives of the sector come together and current issues are discussed as well as academic developments.

As Mr. Önder Yücel also stated during opening speech, infrastructure required to tell customers of the sector problems has unfortunately not been established, it means customers of heat treatment are not included here. I think this matter should be given important from now on.

In addition, it seems that the next symposium should be held in a larger place with a higher participation, exhibition section is growing, but the area is not adequate; so alternative places should be researched.

MISAD: What are your thoughts about activities of MISAD?

Sabahattin Özen, Sales Manager of Inductotherm Group Turkey – Heating, Metallurgy Engineer:  As you know, we are a member of the foundation. I was the member of council at the General Meeting held in the past few days and new management was elected with this meeting. I think new management most of which consist of former managers will carry out much better activities.

Furthermore, I believe we will engage in beneficial projects coordinately with industrial furnace industrialists association to be established.
