Members of Metal Heat Treatment Industrialists Association (MISAD) hosted Bursa Mimar Sinan Vocational Technical High School teachers and students within the scope of Career Activities in Istanbul. 19 students and teachers from 11th and 12th grades of heat treatment department of Bursa Mimar Sinan Vocational Technical High School visited Bodycote-ISTAŞ Heat Treatment and Demsa Heat Treatment facilities last week. After the factory visits, students and teachers made a cultural tour in Istanbul.

Activities will continue.

MISAD members said that:” With the factory visits, students will see and understand the importance of their career not only through the books but also seeing the heat treatment applications”. These visit are planned to be continued which will shed light on the future of the children. In the early hours of the morning, the first stop of students and teachers from Bursa to Istanbul was Bodycote-ISTAS Heat Treatment. Students and teachers who came to the factory building in Gebze with the contribution of Bodycote-ISTAŞ General Manager Vahap Doğan were welcomed by Ceyda Ertunç and Sibel Şahin, Sales Manager of the factory. With the introductions of Mrs. Ceyda Ertunç, the students had the chance to observe all the processes in Bodycote-ISTAŞ Heat Treatment facility.

Second stop was DEMSA.

The second stop in Istanbul for the students and teachers were Demsa Isil Islem. Demsa Heat Treatment General Manager Oğuzhan Demirci welcomed students and teachers. Mr. Oğuzhan Demirci, showed and explained all the production processes within their heat treatment capability. The students had the opportunity to talk with Oğuzhan Demirci and listened to his professional experiences.

 After visiting Bodycote-ISTAŞ Heat Treatment and Demsa Heat Treatment factory, students and teachers set out to continue their journey. After having lunch the teachers and students started their guided tour of Sutanahmet area. The students visited Sultan Ahmet Square, one of the most important squares of the city with its history and atmosphere and completed the tour after visiting Sultan Ahmet Mosque and Topkapı Palace and thanked MISAD for the organization.
