We made a short conversation with M. Önder Yücel, General Manager of BÖHLER UDDEHOLM at the 5th Heat Treatment Symposium. During this conversation, we talked about BÖHLER, Heat Treatment Symposium and MISAD.

MISAD: Can you give some information about BÖHLER?

M. Önder Yücel, General Manager of BÖHLER UDDEHOLM:

BÖHLER company is a highly important company worldwide in the fields of high-speed steels, tool steels and special steels.

Since its establishment, it has contributed developments in metallurgy branch consistently and set global standards. The best proof of that is more than 250 types of steels it owns today.

Steels of Böhler are used in many products and production areas from cutting tools to any kind of knife production, plastic mold industry to food and package industry, production of special materials to aviation industry, energy industry to petroleum and natural gas industry, medical products to automotive industry for our daily needs.

With high-speed steels, special steels, tool steels, cutting, sales and after-sales services and heat treatment service, Böhler has been operating in Turkey for 37 years.

Our company is located in Kocaeli-Çayırova. 

MISAD: What are your thoughts about Heat Treatment Symposium?

M. Önder Yücel, General Manager of BÖHLER UDDEHOLM: It is a significant symposium for Heat Treatment Sector. It is changing each year for the better.

If it is organized in a larger location with wider participations in the next years, this will make a great contribution for the sector.

MISAD: What are your thoughts about MISAD?

M. Önder Yücel, General Manager of BÖHLER UDDEHOLM: I am closely acquainted with MISAD. As Böhler Uddeholm, we are the member of the foundation. I attended at the General Meeting held in the past few days. It was such a good organization. Such organizations should be continued.

I expect MISAD which is important for Heat Treatment Sector will perform much more beneficial works in the next periods.
