We visited 5th Heat Treatment Symposium which has been recently held in ITU Süleyman Demirel Congress Center. We made short conversations with participant companies. One of those companies was AKM Metalurji Sanayi Temsilcilik & Dış Tic. Ltd. Şti. which is also a member of the foundation.

MISAD: Can you give information about AKM company?

Gürler ATAŞ, Metallurgical and Material Engineer of AKM: Established in 1992, our company takes firm steps towards its goals in the sector.

It provides services in the fields of metallurgy, cement, ceramic, automotive, aluminium, foundry, iron-steel, heat treatment and petroleum chemicals, and we represent various foreign companies.

Our products are nephelite, millboard, paper, glass and ceramic fiber textile products, brick and chamottes, sealing compounds, joints and metal contact materials.

MISAD: What are your thoughts about Heat Treatment Symposium?

Gürler ATAŞ, Metallurgical and Material Engineer of AKM: I give importance in this symposium held for the 5th time this year. It is important for the sector in terms of bringing sector components together directly apart from fairs. This year is much better than previous symposiums. We hope it will be much better over the next years.

MISAD: What are your thoughts about MISAD?

Gürler ATAŞ, Metallurgical and Material Engineer of AKM: AKM is a member of MISAD. We think activities of MISAD are beneficial. We care for the foundation since it brings the actors of Heat Treatment Sector together.
