The general assembly, which was postponed due to the pandemic, was held.
 
The general assembly of the METAL HEAT TREATMENT INDUSTRIALS ASSOCIATION, which could not be held for a long time due to the pandemic, was held on September 21, 2021.
 
After the breakfast that started in the morning at Double Tree by Hilton Avcılar hotel, a meeting was held. After the audit and the discharge of the board of directors, it was decided to continue with the previous board of directors with the voting.
 
The general assembly also enabled the industry to come together again after a long break. Members from other cities other than Istanbul also participated in the general assembly, which was attended by approximately 60 people. Chairman of the council, Hasan Çep, promised the former members who have been in the sector for a long time and received their expectations and wishes. At the meeting, it was decided that the association, which is based in Istanbul, will be more active in all cities with the provincial representatives determined from now on.
 
The activity report presented by Sabahattin Özen, the vice president of the association, drew attention. Especially during the pandemic period, the subject of education attracted a lot of attention in the activities carried out over 50, even during the period when the meetings could not be held. It has been observed that the management of the association, which has carried out many activities in order to provide vocational training in vocational high schools, contributed to the sectoral developments of the members of the association, especially with online trainings.
 
Stating that after the successful past period, the activities will increase again in the new period without slowing down, the chairman of the association, Koray Yavuz, stated that he will announce the new works they are planning soon.
 
Yılmaz Türe, who stated that the preparations for the renewal of the sector definition book are continuing and that the studies related to the NACE code will be discussed again, said that the developments can be followed on our social media and website.
 
In addition, Melih Yüksel and Hasan Yücel Yılmaz, who stated that active working committees would be formed in the new period, stated that the alternate board members would lead the way and that the new reserve young and dynamic members and committees would provide a lot of benefits to the association.
 
Referring to the financial structure of the association, Murat Çelik stated that the income of the association is provided only by dues, the association has a strong financial structure and he thanked all the members who made regular dues payments.
 
The plaque given to İhsan Akalın, son of Abdullah Bey, and the speeches made during the general assembly, which was held in the memory of our former board member Abdullah Akalın, created quite emotional moments. In addition, Ege Çelik company owner Ünal Bükrek was also commemorated with a great loss in the sector. Chairman Koray Yavuz stated that the loss of two great heat treatment leaders in the last period has made association and the industry deeply sorry, and they cannot be replaced.
 
At the end of the program, Teknovak company was visited with a technical trip in Hasan Çep's hospitality and had the chance to examine new technologies.
